Ingredients
For the Packets:
1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
2 medium carrots, sliced
1 small onion, sliced
1 zucchini, sliced (optional)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
For Cooking:
4 sheets of aluminum foil (about 12x12 inches each)
Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients: Preheat grill to medium heat or oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Divide into four equal portions and shape into patties.
Assemble the Packets: Spray each foil sheet with nonstick spray. Divide the sliced potatoes, carrots, onions, and zucchini evenly among the foil sheets. Drizzle with olive oil or melted butter and season with a little extra salt and pepper. Place a beef patty on top of each vegetable pile.
Seal and Cook: Fold the foil over the ingredients, sealing the edges tightly to form a packet. Place the packets on the grill and cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through. If baking in the oven, place the packets on a baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes.
Finish and Serve: Carefully open the foil packets (watch for steam). If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and let it melt. Serve hot, either in the foil or transferred to a plate.
