Fresh Peach Fritters That Melt in Your Mouth

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

  • 1 large egg

  • ⅓ cup milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp melted butter

  • 1 cup finely chopped fresh peaches

  • Oil for frying

Optional Glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 12 tbsp milk

  • ½ tsp vanilla


Instructions

  • Heat oil: In a deep pan, heat about 2 inches of oil to 350°F (175°C).

  • Make the batter: In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

  • Add wet ingredients: Stir in the egg, milk, vanilla, and melted butter until combined.

  • Fold in peaches: Gently fold in the chopped peaches until evenly distributed.

  • Fry: Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil, a few at a time. Fry until golden brown on both sides (about 2–3 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.

 

  • Glaze (optional): Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make a simple glaze. Drizzle over fritters while warm.
