Ingredients
-
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
-
8–10 slices of deli ham
-
1 to 1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella work great)
-
1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
-
1 egg (for egg wash)
-
1 tbsp water
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
-
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the Puff Pastry
-
Lightly roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface into a rectangle.
-
Optional: Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the pastry for a flavor boost.
3. Layer with Ham and Cheese
-
Evenly layer ham slices over the pastry, leaving a small border on one edge.
-
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the ham.
4. Roll and Slice
-
Tightly roll the pastry into a log (start from the side with filling and roll toward the clean edge).
-
Slice the log into 1-inch pieces.
5. Brush and Bake
-
Place rolls flat-side down on the baking sheet.
-
Beat the egg with water and brush each rollup for golden color.
-
Bake for 15–20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
