Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli: Quick and Delicious One-Pan Meal

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced into rounds

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup honey

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional, for extra flavor)

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Cooked rice, for serving

  • Sesame seeds & chopped green onions (for garnish)


Instructions

  • Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

  • Cook the Sausage:

    • In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat.

    • Add the sliced sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.

    • Remove the sausage and set aside.

  • Cook the Broccoli:

    • In the same skillet, add another 1 tbsp olive oil if needed.

    • Add the broccoli florets and sauté for 3-4 minutes, until crisp-tender.

    • You can add a splash of water and cover the pan for 1 minute to help steam the broccoli.

  • Sear the Shrimp:

    • Push the broccoli to the side of the skillet and add the shrimp.

    • Season with a little salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.

  • Combine Everything:

    • Return the sausage to the skillet and pour the honey garlic sauce over everything.

    • Toss to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat all ingredients.

 

  • Serve:

    • Serve hot over steamed rice and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
