¾ cup buttermilk (cold)

Instructions

Preheat Oven:

Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder.

Incorporate Butter:

Add cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, mix until the texture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Cheese & Jalapeños:

Stir in shredded cheddar and chopped jalapeños.

Form the Dough:

Pour in cold buttermilk and honey, then mix until just combined. Do not overwork the dough.

Shape the Biscuits:

Turn the dough onto a floured surface, pat it down to about ¾-inch thickness, and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
