Mini Sausage Pigs in a Blanket: The Ultimate Bite-Sized Party Appetizer

  • 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 24 mini sausages (like Lil’ Smokies)

  • 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)

  • 1 tablespoon water (if using egg wash)

  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, everything bagel seasoning

  • Dipping sauces: ketchup, mustard, ranch, cheese sauce, etc.


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Prepare dough:
    Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller strips (to wrap around mini sausages).

  • Wrap sausages:
    Roll each mini sausage in a piece of dough, starting from one end and wrapping tightly.

  • Optional egg wash:
    Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water. Brush over each wrapped sausage for a golden finish. Sprinkle with toppings if desired.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and puffed.

 

  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
