Ingredients
For the Cookies:
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp almond extract (optional)
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp cornstarch
Pink gel food coloring
2 tbsp milk
½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
For Garnish:
Sprinkles
Powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Dough:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until combined.
Add a few drops of pink food coloring and mix until desired color is reached.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with milk. Mix until combined.
Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
Bake the Cookies:
8. Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place on prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
10. Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
