Sausage Waffle Bake – A Delicious and Easy Breakfast Casserole Recipe

8 frozen waffles, thawed and cut into quarters
1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup maple syrup (optional, for drizzling)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Spread the quartered waffles evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.

  • Top the waffles with cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped green onions.

  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and waffle layer, pressing gently to ensure the liquid soaks into the waffles.

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.

  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

 

  • Drizzle with maple syrup (optional) and serve warm.
