Ingredients
For the Dough (or use 1 lb store-bought pizza dough):

2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)

1 tsp sugar

¾ cup warm water (110°F)

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp olive oil (plus more for greasing)
For the Toppings:

1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni or cooked sausage

1/2 cup sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, or onions
-
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

Red pepper flakes, fresh basil, or Parmesan for serving
Instructions
1. Make the dough (if not using store-bought):

In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.

In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.

Knead until smooth (about 5 minutes), then cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
Shortcut: Skip this step and use 1 lb of store-bought dough!
2. Prep the pan:

Grease a 9×13 inch sheet pan or baking tray with olive oil.

Press the dough into the pan, stretching it to the edges. Cover and let rest for 15–20 minutes while you prep toppings.
3. Add sauce and toppings:

Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).

Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.

Top with shredded cheese and your favorite toppings.

Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if using.
4. Bake:

Bake in the center rack for 15–18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
5. Slice and serve:

Let cool slightly, then cut into squares or rectangles.

Serve with red pepper flakes, extra Parmesan, or a drizzle of olive oil.
