  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough (or use 1 lb store-bought pizza dough):

  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • ¾ cup warm water (110°F)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (plus more for greasing)

For the Toppings:

  • 1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni or cooked sausage

  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, or onions

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Red pepper flakes, fresh basil, or Parmesan for serving

Instructions

1. Make the dough (if not using store-bought):

  • In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  • In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.

  • Knead until smooth (about 5 minutes), then cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.

Shortcut: Skip this step and use 1 lb of store-bought dough!

2. Prep the pan:

  • Grease a 9×13 inch sheet pan or baking tray with olive oil.

  • Press the dough into the pan, stretching it to the edges. Cover and let rest for 15–20 minutes while you prep toppings.

3. Add sauce and toppings:

  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).

  • Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.

  • Top with shredded cheese and your favorite toppings.

  • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if using.

4. Bake:

  • Bake in the center rack for 15–18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

5. Slice and serve:

  • Let cool slightly, then cut into squares or rectangles.

  • Serve with red pepper flakes, extra Parmesan, or a drizzle of olive oil.
