- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 2 tablespoons water (if using cornstarch)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, ginger, vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper. Pour over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is tender.
- (Optional) For a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Stir into the slow cooker 20 minutes before serving.
- Shred the chicken or serve whole over rice, noodles, or veggies.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
