Ingredients
2 lbs beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a slow cooker, add beef sirloin pieces.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Pour the sauce over the beef in the slow cooker and mix to coat the steak bites evenly.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until beef is tender.
In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Stir it into the slow cooker in the last 30 minutes of cooking to thicken the sauce.
Once done, garnish with green onions if desired. Serve with rice, potatoes, or veggies.
