Slow Cooker Mississippi Pot Roast: A Savory and Tender Delight for Any Meal

  • 34 lb chuck roast

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix

  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

  • 56 pepperoncini peppers

  • ¼ cup pepperoncini juice (from the jar)


Instructions

  • Prepare the Roast:

    • Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.

    • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix evenly over the meat.

  • Add the Flavor:

    • Place the stick of butter on top of the roast.

    • Scatter the pepperoncini peppers around the roast and pour in the pepperoncini juice.

  • Cook the Roast:

    • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until the meat is tender and easily shredded.

 

  • Shred and Serve:

    • Use two forks to shred the roast in the slow cooker, mixing it with the juices.

    • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or on a sandwich bun.
