300 g (10 oz) cheese-filled tortellini

300 g (10 oz) ground beef

1 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion (finely chopped)

2 garlic cloves (minced)

1 can (400 g / 14 oz) diced tomatoes

½ cup tomato sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

¼ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

½ cup beef broth

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp fresh basil or parsley (chopped)
Instructions

Cook the Tortellini:

Boil the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Beef Sauce:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.

Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.

Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if needed.

Simmer the Sauce:

Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.

Combine Everything:

Add the cooked tortellini to the beef sauce and stir gently.

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.

Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt over low heat for a few minutes.
