Festive Orange Chocolate Christmas Truffles made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g heavy cream
  • Zest of 1 large orange
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  • Chop the dark chocolate finely and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  • Heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer, then pour it over the chopped chocolate.
  • Let the mixture sit for a minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.
  • Mix in the orange zest and fresh juice until well combined.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Once firm, scoop out small portions of ganache and roll them into balls.
  • Roll each truffle in cocoa powder until evenly coated.
  • Place the truffles on a parchment-lined tray and chill until ready to serve.
