Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped vegetables like cabbage, carrots, or mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup ground meat pork, chicken, or tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce for garlic sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar rice or white
  • 2 cloves garlic minced (for the sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil optional

Instructions

  • Combine flour, salt, and water in a bowl.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Prepare the filling by mixing chopped vegetables, ground meat, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  • Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
  • Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
  • Fold and seal the dumplings by pleating the edges.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the dumplings until golden brown.
  • Once browned, add a little water to the pan and cover to steam.
  • Prepare the garlic sauce by combining soy sauce, vinegar, minced garlic, sugar, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  • Serve the dumplings hot with garlic sauce on the side.
