Decadent Deep Fried Snickers Delight Recipe

Decadent Deep Fried Snickers Delight made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients

  • 4 Snickers bars
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting optional

Instructions

  • Start by preparing your frying oil. In a large, deep pot or fryer, pour enough vegetable oil to fill it about 3 inches deep. Heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
  • While the oil is heating, unwrap each Snickers bar and set them aside on a plate. This ensures they are ready to be battered without delay.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar. Whisk these dry ingredients together until well blended.
  • Next, add the buttermilk and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine as they will create a light batter.
  • Once the oil has reached the desired temperature, dip each Snickers bar into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow any excess batter to drip off before placing them carefully into the hot oil.
  • Fry the Snickers bars in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Cook them for about 2-3 minutes, or until they are golden brown on all sides.
  • Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried Snickers bars from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • Once all the bars are fried, dust them lightly with powdered sugar if desired, and serve immediately while hot for the best experience.
