Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • Decorative candies like candy corn or chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the pumpkin puree carefully.
  7. Spoon the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space in between.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. While the treats cool, prepare the frosting by beating together powdered sugar and a bit of softened butter with vanilla extract and milk .
  10. Once cooled, frost the treats and decorate with candies creatively.
