Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
Add the powdered sugar gradually, mixing until well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, and mix well.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden but the center remains gooey.
Remove from oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
