Delightful Vanilla Bean Cheesecake Cupcakes Recipe

Rich and creamy vanilla bean cheesecake cupcakes offer a delightful blend of flavors and textures, making them a standout dessert for any celebration.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 vanilla bean split and scraped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Extra vanilla bean seeds for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk to combine.
  4. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the cream cheese and mix until smooth.
  6. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, followed by the scraped seeds from the vanilla bean.
  7. Mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  8. Fold in the sour cream to finish the batter.
  9. Scoop the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  10. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  12. While the cupcakes are cooling, prepare the frosting by beating together powdered sugar, remaining cream cheese, and a few seeds from the vanilla bean.
  13. Once the cupcakes are completely cool, frost them generously with the prepared vanilla bean cream cheese frosting.
  14. Garnish with extra vanilla bean seeds if desired.
