Perfecting the Art of Yellow Vanilla Cake

Light and fluffy, this yellow vanilla cake offers a delightful blend of buttery richness and subtle sweetness, making it an ideal centerpiece for celebrations.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the whole milk, starting and ending with the flour.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Once completely cool, frost or enjoy as desired.
