Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
Once the sausage is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set it aside, leaving the drippings.
In the same skillet, whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
Gradually add the milk while whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
Add the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika into the sauce, then stir in the shredded cheddar until melted.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, broccoli, and cauliflower, then pour the cheese sauce over.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
