Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, sautéed onion and garlic, breadcrumbs, softened Philadelphia cream cheese, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, milk, salt, and pepper.
Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan or shape into a loaf on a baking sheet.
Spread additional Philadelphia cream cheese or cheddar cheese on top if desired.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
