Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter-sugar mixture, alternating with the milk, until just combined.
Fold in the festive sprinkles gently to avoid breaking them.
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each liner about two-thirds full.
Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, frost with your favorite frosting and decorate with more festive sprinkles.
