Spicy and Sweet Hot Honey Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Prepare the chicken by trimming any excess fat and patting it dry.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dredge the chicken thighs in the flour mixture, coating them thoroughly.
  4. In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat.
  5. Carefully add the coated chicken thighs to the hot oil, frying for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. In a separate saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar over low heat, stirring until mixed.
  8. Once the sauce is well-mixed, pour it over the fried chicken, coating each piece generously.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
